Biography

Over the last year, I've started writing again: a few record reviews, band bios and a couple of magazine articles.

I've worked as a manager (Drivin N Cryin when they were really big down South), a music publisher, a tour manager, a Geffen/DGC A&R man in the 90s (Black Lab, Aimee Mann, Hole, Girls Against Boys, Lisa Loeb & Guns N' Roses) and as the manager of the Kurt Cobain catalog (the "Journals" book, the "You Know You're Right" single and accompanying compilation and a bunch of new t-shirts).

Now I'm producing records: Milburn's new single on Free Construction/Mercury, the forthcoming Young Offenders Institute record, Ryan Adams' always controversial "ROCKNROLL," two versions of Courtney Love's "America's Sweetheart" (I vote for the first, unreleased recording) and Family Force 5's upcoming debut for Maverick, "Business in Front...Party in the Back."

I'm developing & producing several young bands, including the Dirty Sweet from San Diego and Nashville's Taylor Sorensen & the Trigger Code.

Like a lot of people I grew up with in the business, I'm doing a lot of different things to make a living.
